What You’ll Do
This Entry-Level Project Engineer will support project delivery across construction and industrial manufacturing engagements. Typical responsibilities include:
- Support planning, execution, and on-time delivery of construction and industrial projects.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Coordinate technical activities between engineering, manufacturing, procurement, field installation, and customers.
- Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables and provide status updates to stakeholders.
- Assist with project budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and basic financial reporting.
- Review change orders, submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation.
- Conduct or support site visits and field coordination as required.
- Identify project risks and recommend mitigation strategies to keep scope, schedule, and budget on track.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and company procedures.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum qualifications for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Construction Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
- 2+ years’ experience in engineering, construction, manufacturing, or project coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Understanding of project budgeting and cost-control fundamentals.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and project coordination skills.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common project documentation tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Nice-to-have skills and experiences that will help you advance quickly:
- Experience supporting construction, industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar CAD/design tools.
- Exposure to project controls, scheduling tools, and project management principles.
- Experience reviewing contracts, change orders, and construction documentation.
- Knowledge of mechanical, structural, or industrial equipment systems.
- EIT certification or strong interest in pursuing professional development toward project management.
