Position Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Entry-Level Product Review Engineer (Liaison Engineer) to join a 787 Production Engineering team located in Pinehaven, SC. This is an entry-level, full-time role that includes a 9–12 month training rotation and may require flexible shift work (1st, 2nd or 3rd shift), occasional overtime, weekends, or holidays. The role performs troubleshooting, root cause corrective action (RCCA) support, and helps develop solutions for non-conforming products in a factory environment.


What You’ll Do

  • Research and apply engineering design principles to resolve product and process issues.
  • Support troubleshooting, RCCA technical analysis, and drafting of dispositions for design non-conformances.
  • Assist system owners in preparing technical communications and reports.
  • Collect, analyze, and evaluate production and fleet data to identify product/process improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in Material Review Boards (MRB) and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
  • Help design interim structural repairs to restore damaged structure to original strength where applicable.
  • Work directly with cross-functional production engineering teams to meet program objectives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent (non‑US equivalent acceptable). Applicants must have completed all degree requirements by the application date.
  • Degree ABET accredited (where applicable).
  • Willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. (position requires a U.S. Person as defined by export control regulations).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience reading, interpreting, and generating electrical schematics and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with structural design principles for aircraft primary structure (fatigue, damage tolerance, stress analysis, materials strength, repair techniques).
  • Experience gathering data and performing Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
  • Aerospace, fabrication, manufacturing, and/or additive manufacturing experience.
  • Production engineering experience and practical troubleshooting skills (electrical/mechanical systems, fault isolation, repair methodology).
  • Prior exposure to Material Review Board / Liaison Engineering (MRB / LE) activities.
  • Functional system and component-level testing experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve simple to complex engineering problems.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Summary pay range: $71,400 - $96,600 per year (pay depends on experience, qualifications, market and business considerations).
  • Total Rewards package typically includes health insurance, flexible spending or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time away, subject to eligibility and geographic differences.
  • Relocation assistance available based on candidate eligibility.

  • Shift: Variable (1st/2nd/3rd as business needs dictate).

  • Export Control: This role must meet U.S. export control compliance; a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).

  • Work environment: Daily exposure to a factory environment — stairs, trip hazards, high noise, chemical handling, and entry into aircraft at various build stages.
