Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Entry Level Process Engineer to join a manufacturing facility in Hopkinsville, KY. This role focuses on process improvement, equipment troubleshooting (including PLCs), and supporting efficient, safe production in an automotive-parts manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current production processes and identify opportunities for improvement using Kaizen / continuous improvement methods
• Plan, document and support implementation of process improvements to increase throughput and reduce waste
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing line equipment (including basic PLC interaction)
• Collaborate with Maintenance to follow scheduled preventive maintenance and minimize downtime
• Follow and support ISO and company procedures for process control and quality assurance
• Promote and enforce workplace safety and ensure team members follow safety protocols
• Support root-cause analysis for defects and participate in corrective action plans
• Other duties as assigned to support production goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
• Internship or hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required
• Basic familiarity with PLCs, production equipment troubleshooting, and manufacturing processes
• Strong communication and presentation skills (speaking, writing, listening)
• Comfortable working in cross-functional, multicultural teams; adaptable and flexible
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel emphasis) and comfortable learning process documentation tools
• Demonstrated teamwork, attention to detail, punctuality, and self-motivation
• Willingness to perform intermittent physical tasks (sit/stand/walk/lift up to 30 lbs, climb stairs, stoop/kneel), and meet vision/hearing requirements as needed
