What You’ll Do
Join a Confidential Client as an Entry‑Level Process/Chemical Engineer working on industrial and commercial facility projects. You will support process design activities, help produce installation drawings, perform field verifications, and prepare technical documentation while receiving mentorship from experienced engineers.
- Design process and facility systems, including waste streams, chemical distribution, bulk & specialty gases, ultra‑pure water, pollution control, and mechanical/process piping (wet and dry).
- Help produce engineering drawings for installation of process equipment and systems according to client standards.
- Support construction and installation coordination for industrial production facilities and semiconductor tool installations.
- Conduct field inspections, on‑site walkthroughs, and design verification.
- Prepare technical memos and documentation to update project teams on design decisions, safety considerations, and process improvements.
- Coordinate with multi‑discipline teams to develop process design basis, evaluate design options, and organize data for process flow diagrams and sheets.
Who You Are (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or closely related major.
- EIT certification or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
- Proficient with AutoCAD and MS Office (Word, Excel) and able to read design drawings.
- Strong organization, multi‑tasking, and written communication skills.
- Local to or willing to relocate to Boise, ID — this role is project‑site/hybrid and may require work in the local office, at a project site, or from home within approximately 50 miles of site.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Nice to Have
- Previous internship or project experience related to semiconductor manufacturing facility design or tool installations.
- Facilities‑related engineering experience (semiconductor fab facilities highly preferred).
- Advanced AutoCAD skills and familiarity with process/mechanical piping design.
- Solid understanding of chemistry as it relates to safety hazards, environmental impacts, and mitigation strategies.
Location & Work Environment
- Work site: Boise, ID (hybrid / project site). Expect a mix of office, project site, and remote work depending on project needs.
- Typical employment type: Full‑time.
