What You’ll Do

As an Entry-Level Power Systems Studies Engineer supporting Confidential Client’s power-systems team, you will:

  • Support power system studies for data centers and other mission-critical facilities.
  • Perform short-circuit, protective-device coordination, arc-flash, and related analyses.
  • Collect and review field data, assist with electrical system audits and site visits.
  • Prepare technical calculations, study deliverables, and clear engineering reports.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, senior engineers, and clients during project delivery.
  • Contribute to project execution, quality control, and continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with development and execution of power-system models and simulations.
  • Run SKM, ETAP, or equivalent software to evaluate distribution system performance.
  • Support protective device coordination and relay settings development.
  • Help produce arc-flash studies, labeling recommendations, and mitigation guidance.
  • Document methods, assumptions, and results in concise technical reports.
  • Participate in field data collection and client meetings as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 0–4 years of relevant electrical engineering experience (entry-level to early-career).
  • Must obtain Engineer Intern (EIT) certification (or be actively pursuing).
  • Familiarity with power system study tools (SKM or ETAP preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in teams.
  • Self-starter attitude; comfortable taking ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Passion for learning and a demonstrated collaborative mindset.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary (estimated): $82,511 per year (as provided by source).
