Position overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level PNT Engineer in Aberdeen, MD. This early-career engineering role supports Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) and GNSS/GPS engineering efforts. You will help design and execute hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) tests, analyze results, support rapid prototyping, and build software/algorithms that enable mission-focused navigation and RF solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Design hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test approaches for GPS/GNSS receivers and related PNT systems
- Set up lab and field test hardware, perform measurements, analyze results, and prepare technical reports
- Develop and integrate software for testing and evaluation; implement algorithms for situational awareness and navigation features
- Support rapid prototyping efforts for Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) and other RF/navigation technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical results clearly to customers and stakeholders
- Follow test plans, maintain test documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement of test processes
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field
- 0–5 years’ experience in communications, navigation, RF, or related engineering area
- Familiarity or interest in digital design, digital signal processing, and radio frequency signals
- Practical and theoretical knowledge in communications, navigation, electronic warfare, navigation warfare, or DSP
- Experience using Linux and Windows operating systems
- Strong programming skills in one or more of: Python, C#, C++, Java (or similar)
- Clear technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and on teams
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (may require U.S. citizenship)
Preferred (Desired) Qualifications
- Hands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, soldering, cable fabrication, or PCB population/repair
- Direct GPS/GNSS experience or coursework
- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing or test automation
- Prior customer-facing or program-support experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary (Maryland only): $85,000 - $101,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and internal parity.
- Additional compensation may include sign-on bonuses, relocation benefits, short- or long-term incentives, or discretionary payments per internal policy.

Location & Work Authorization
- This role is based in Aberdeen, MD (Aberdeen Proving Ground area). Candidates should be able to work on-site as required.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. and able to obtain and maintain any required government security clearance. Offers may be contingent on background checks and clearance adjudication.
