Overview

This entry-level QC Scientist I role supports analytical testing and quality activities for pharmaceutical product development and registration. The position is onsite in Westerville, OH and is a contract-to-hire opportunity with hands-on lab training (including HPLC and GC) and a starting pay of $24.00/hr.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct routine bench testing: sample preparation, dilutions, standard weighing, and wet chemistry analyses.
• Support chemical and physical analyses for product development and regulatory submissions.
• Assist with analytical method validation and method transfer activities.
• Document results accurately and maintain cGxP-compliant records (SOPs and company procedures).
• Execute assigned analytical tasks to schedule and escalate troubleshooting issues when needed.
• Work across Oral Dose Solids and Nasals departments and support release of registration materials.

Who You Are / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related science field.
• Prior laboratory experience (academic or industry), with proficiency in sample preparation and dilutions.
• Basic knowledge of quality control principles and chemical testing.
• Strong attention to detail and good written/verbal communication skills.
• Able to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment and follow supervision using professional judgment.
• Interest in learning HPLC and GC techniques (training provided).

Additional Details

• Employment type: Contract to Hire (initially CONTRACTOR).
• Location: Westerville, OH — fully onsite.
• Shifts: 1st shift 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 2nd shift 3:00 PM–11:30 PM; schedule initially five 8-hour days with possible transition to four 10-hour days after training.
• Pay: $24.00 per hour. Individual offers will depend on qualifications and experience.
