Overview
Confidential client (Scientific & QA) is hiring an Entry Level PFAS Scientist 1 to join an environmental testing laboratory in Mansfield, MA. This hands-on, entry-level role is ideal for candidates with a STEM background who want lab experience analyzing environmental samples for PFAS and other contaminants. Training is provided.
What You’ll Do
- Work with analytical instruments to analyze environmental samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods for environmental contaminants (PFAS-focused work).
- Review and interpret analytical results to support accurate reporting.
- Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain organized laboratory records.
- Clean, maintain, and calibrate lab instruments and equipment to ensure data quality.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or another STEM field — or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Training is available for entry-level candidates.
- Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods, working around strong odors, and wearing required PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves — provided by the confidential client).
- Curiosity, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: $20.20 per hour (hourly rate shown in the source). Estimated annual equivalent shown by the source: $66,676 per year (estimate).
- Employment type: Full-time.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
- Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, education, skills, and alignment with internal equity.
