What You’ll Do
This entry-level PeopleSoft role supports the design, development, testing, and maintenance of PeopleSoft applications used to run HR and payroll processes. You will work under the guidance of senior developers and with functional teams to deliver stable, well-documented solutions.
- Assist in the development, testing, and deployment of PeopleSoft components and customizations.
- Work with PeopleTools and PeopleSoft development components (Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker).
- Modify and maintain PeopleSoft modules such as HCM, Time and Labor, and North America Payroll according to business requirements.
- Develop and run SQL queries to analyze and troubleshoot data issues; support database-related fixes.
- Participate in upgrades, patching, and regression testing cycles.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and end-user guides.
- Debug and resolve issues using PeopleSoft tools and logs.
- Support integrations between PeopleSoft and third-party systems; coordinate with integration owners.
Estimated salary (for reference): $79,661 per year (estimated).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
- Must be able to obtain and retain an interim Secret clearance (requires U.S. citizenship).
- Basic knowledge of SQL and familiarity with at least one programming language (Java, etc.).
- Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and version control concepts.
- Willingness to learn PeopleSoft development tools and follow coding/documentation standards.
Location & Schedule
This is a full-time, on-site role based at a secured government facility at Charleston Air Force Base, SC. The position typically requires 5 days per week in the office and adherence to facility security and access procedures.
