What You’ll Do

This entry-level Paraplanner role supports Wealth Advisors by preparing and maintaining Wealth Management Reviews, compiling client financial data, and producing planning analyses and reports. You will work closely with advisors and the client service team to help ensure accurate, timely deliverables — without providing investment or financial advice.

  • Become proficient with tools used by the team (for example: Microsoft Office — especially Excel/PowerPoint; Schwab Advisor Center; Tamarac; Advisor Engine; Adobe Acrobat; Modestspark).
  • Maintain the schedule and materials for Wealth Management Reviews and the prospective client pipeline.
  • Gather, organize, and update client financial information and records.
  • Prepare financial reports such as stock incentive summaries, statements of net worth, retirement/education projections, life insurance needs, and pension/Social Security claiming strategies.
  • Compile and explain reports that appear in Wealth Management Review books (investment returns/allocations, projected income, YTD taxable activity, recent transactions).
  • Support recordkeeping for income tax, estate, insurance, and philanthropic planning.
  • Assist in interpreting tax-related documents from custodians.
  • Ensure client meeting follow-up items (letters, deliverables) are completed on schedule.

Client Service & Office Support

You will also help deliver a professional, welcoming client experience and provide general office support.

  • Greet and direct clients and visitors in a professional manner.
  • Screen and route incoming telephone calls.
  • Assist with general administrative and office responsibilities as needed.
  • Coordinate with Wealth Advisors and other team members to deliver excellent client service.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required or expected (preferred majors: Finance, Financial Planning, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field). Recent graduates and early-career candidates are encouraged to apply.

Experience

  • 0–2 years preferred; relevant internships, academic projects, or related experience will be considered.
  • Prior exposure to wealth management or financial planning is a plus, but not required — we prioritize curiosity, work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong analytical and quantitative ability.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to learn new software and financial planning systems quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
  • Able to work independently while being a dependable team member.
  • Demonstrated initiative, follow-through, and a desire to build a career in wealth management.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation

  • Salary is commensurate with experience and follows the firm’s pay structure (approximately 80% base / 20% production component tied to top-line revenues). An estimated salary figure appears in the listing but exact pay will depend on experience and internal compensation guidelines.
  • Eligible for up to $5,000 annually in incentive bonuses based on objective individual goals.
  • CFP® support: reimbursement for CFP® exam preparation and testing costs (up to $6,000). Passing the CFP® exam leads to a salary increase ($10,000 annually, retroactive to the exam pass date) and advancement opportunities toward client-facing Wealth Advisor roles.

Retirement & Insurance

  • 401(k) match: the firm matches 150% of the first 6% of employee contributions; discretionary profit-sharing contributions may apply. There is a 5-year vesting schedule on employer contributions.
  • Group health, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability insurance — benefits currently fully paid for by the firm.

Time Off & Holidays

  • 15 paid personal days annually (includes sick days).
  • All days the securities markets are closed are considered paid holidays.

Workplace & Hiring Notes

  • This position is based in Lenexa, KS.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
