About the Role
Careertakes is partnering with a Confidential Client in Legal Services (Real Estate & Default Services) to hire an Entry-Level Paralegal in Coppell, TX. This is a training-focused, entry-level contract role that offers hands-on experience with litigation and real estate/default services. Ideal candidates are organized, driven, and eager to learn legal drafting, e-filing, and case management.
Responsibilities
- Draft motions, pleadings, correspondence and other legal documents
- E-file with court systems and manage document recording
- Maintain client and case files and update clients as needed
- Maintain filing/document systems and organize/archive litigation documents
- Manage calendars, track and adhere to legal deadlines
- Prepare reports and materials for attorneys
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong organizational, research, and writing skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage a heavy workload
- Deadline-driven, able to work independently and under pressure
- Comfortable and confident on the phone and in client communications
- Excellent time-management skills
- Internship or prior legal experience is a strong plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $18.00 per hour
- Benefits: medical, dental, vision, Flex Spending Account, fitness reimbursement, and 401(k) with match (as provided by the Confidential Client)
