What You’ll Do

This entry-level outside sales trainee role is a 12-month, field-and-classroom sales training program designed to prepare you for a territory-based Sales Professional position in the automotive software and services space.

  • Enroll in and complete a 12-month blended sales training program (classroom + field training). Classroom instruction is delivered at the client’s training center (Dayton, OH) and covers dealership operations, sales techniques, negotiation, and product knowledge.
  • Shadow an assigned Sales Mentor in the field, support sales calls, and learn the end-to-end sales process.
  • Travel with customer service and installation teams to deepen product and service understanding. Training travel is intensive (expect overnight travel 80–100% of the training period).
  • After successful completion of training, relocate to and manage an assigned sales territory (relocation assistance provided).
  • As a Sales Professional, sell the client’s portfolio — automotive software solutions, marketing services, printed business forms, and promotional products — to new and existing dealership customers.
  • Meet monthly and annual sales quotas; develop and maintain strong customer relationships and territory plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (required).
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license. Fewer than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years and no OVI/DUI/DWI convictions in the last 5 years.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to build rapport and long-term customer relationships.
  • Willingness and ability to travel overnight 80–100% during training.
  • Willing to relocate after completing the training program.
  • Comfortable working independently in a territory-based sales role and following a structured training curriculum.
