What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an Entry-Level Microbiologist to join their quality control team in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical / life sciences environment. You will perform day-to-day microbiology testing and environmental monitoring that supports product quality and regulatory compliance.
- Perform routine microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products (bioburden, endotoxin, sterility where applicable)
- Conduct environmental monitoring of cleanrooms and manufacturing areas (settle plates, contact plates, viable air monitoring)
- Prepare and QC microbiological media, reagents, and laboratory samples
- Perform basic microbial identification and data interpretation
- Record, review, and maintain laboratory data following GMP and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Support investigations (OOS), deviations, and CAPA activities as needed
- Maintain lab equipment, follow calibration/maintenance procedures, and promote lab safety/aseptic technique
- Collaborate with QA, QC, Manufacturing, and Validation teams to support audit readiness and regulatory inspections
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related field
- 0–2 years of microbiology or laboratory experience (internships and co-ops accepted)
- Basic understanding of aseptic technique and common microbiological methods
- Knowledge of GMP/cGMP, laboratory safety, and documentation standards
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and clear written/verbal communication
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow SOPs
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with environmental monitoring programs or cleanroom protocols
- Familiarity with sterility testing methods, endotoxin testing, or microbial identification platforms
- Prior exposure to LIMS or electronic data systems
