Position Overview

The Patient Care Representative will report to the Sales Manager and provides administrative and patient-facing support to the sales team. This role coordinates documentation and communications required to secure durable medical equipment (DME) for patients and acts as a primary liaison among patients, referral sources, prescribing physicians, insurance companies, and internal sales staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Support up to two (2) Sales Representatives at a time
• Serve as liaison between Confidential Client, patients, referral sources, and insurers
• Introduce patients to the company and explain the DME process
• Collect and verify insurance information and documentation from patients
• Coordinate physician evaluations or in-person assessments when required
• Prepare and submit documentation to physicians and follow up for required signatures
• Submit physician documentation for approval and track authorization status
• Keep Sales Reps updated on order status and next steps
• Explain equipment options, coverage, and potential payment options to patients before delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 2 years of administrative support experience
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Office, CRM/email systems)
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Compensation & Work Type

• Estimated salary: $51,673 per year (estimated)
• Employment type: Full-time
• Training and initial orientation take place at the corporate headquarters (travel for onboarding may be required)
