What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to join its engineering team and contribute to the design, manufacture, and continuous improvement of industrial screening and filtration equipment. This role is ideal for recent graduates or engineers with up to two years of experience who want hands-on exposure to product design and manufacturing support.

  • Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Create and revise engineering drawings using Autodesk Inventor (or similar CAD tools).
  • Develop and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), manufacturing drawings, and engineering documentation.
  • Support customer proposal development with technical input and drawings.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and help resolve production challenges on the shop floor.
  • Participate in product improvement and cost‑reduction initiatives.
  • Assist with prototype development, testing, and product validation.
  • Perform engineering calculations (stress analysis, load calculations, material selection).
  • Review customer specifications and help develop customized engineering solutions.
  • Coordinate with purchasing on material specs and vendor technical queries.
  • Support root‑cause investigations, corrective actions, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Maintain engineering documentation and revision control.
  • Follow company safety policies, engineering standards, and best practices.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 0–2 years of engineering experience (internships and co‑ops welcome).
  • Basic understanding of mechanical design principles and the ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with CAD (Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks preferred).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; able to work cross‑functionally with manufacturing, purchasing, quality, and sales.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining close attention to detail.
  • Eagerness to learn, a strong work ethic, and a collaborative attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands‑on experience or coursework in Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
  • Experience with sheet metal design, weldments, and machined components.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes: welding, machining, forming, and fabrication.
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Experience or coursework in filtration, liquid‑solid separation, or fluid handling systems.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Work both in an office and on the manufacturing/production floor.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk on the production floor for extended periods.
  • Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in manufacturing areas.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated annual pay (as posted): $50,849 per year — estimated.
