What You’ll Do
You will support the design and delivery of mechanical building and utility systems for industrial capital projects as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team. This role offers hands-on experience with system analysis, sizing, Revit modeling, and project documentation for manufacturing, life sciences, and advanced-technology facilities.
- Design mechanical facility systems, including HVAC, chilled water, domestic water, wastewater, steam, hot water, compressed air, and plumbing systems
- Perform mechanical system analysis, sizing, calculations, and equipment selection for custom industrial applications
- Develop coordinated mechanical design documents and system models using Revit
- Prepare technical reports, design narratives, drawings, and specifications to support project delivery
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, process, architectural, and construction team members
- Coordinate design requirements with clients, project partners, and other engineering disciplines
- Review project documentation for consistency, accuracy, and constructability
- Support multiple projects while meeting quality, schedule, and client expectations
- Apply applicable codes, engineering standards, and internal practices to mechanical system designs
- Support client-site activities including field assessments, installation/start-up support, meetings, and training when required
What You’ll Bring
Minimum qualifications required for consideration:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution
- At least three years of mechanical facility design engineering experience, including system analysis, sizing, design, and technical report writing
- Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for mechanical design documentation
- Ability to travel for project requirements (client-site activities, installation/start-up, meetings, training, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing HVAC, hydronic, plumbing, compressed gas, steam, condensate, or related utility systems for industrial facilities
- Experience supporting advanced technology, semiconductor, life sciences, or controlled‑environment projects (clean room, cold room, warm room)
- Experience executing mechanical design work as part of multidisciplinary capital projects
Compensation
- The approximate pay range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 per year. This is a good‑faith estimate at the time of posting; final pay may vary based on background, skills, and location.
