What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join the engineering team in the Denver / Glendale, CO area. In this role you will apply your academic knowledge to real-world projects, produce system design calculations, support mechanical (HVAC and piping) system design, and coordinate closely with electrical, instrumentation & control, civil, structural, and architectural teams under the guidance of licensed Professional Engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support system design calculations and prepare mechanical design deliverables for HVAC and piping systems
- Assist with coordination across disciplines (electrical, instrumentation & control, civil, structural, architectural)
- Produce and maintain accurate project documentation and drawings
- Progress from basic design tasks to more complex assignments while following established QA/QC and PE guidance
- Assist on projects across building types including aviation and advanced electronics facilities
- Use BIM tools to support drafting and design workflows as needed
What We’re Looking For (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline
- Demonstrated desire to plan and design mechanical HVAC and piping systems
- Willingness to learn under the mentorship of Professional Engineers and take ownership of assigned work
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate, timely work
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multi-discipline teams
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
- Prior internship or research experience with an engineering firm
- Experience with building BIM drafting software (Autodesk Revit)
- Residence within commutable distance to the Denver / Glendale office
Compensation & Location
- Estimated base pay: $64,728 per year (estimated).
- Work location: Denver / Glendale area (onsite at downtown Denver office). Candidates should be able to commute to the local office as required.
