What You’ll Do
This entry-level, part-time tutor role supports high-school students (grades 9–12) in math and standardized test preparation through focused, in-person 1:1 tutoring at a learning center in Cohasset, MA.
- Provide in-person, one-on-one tutoring sessions (60–90 minutes each) focused on math and test-prep topics.
- Deliver instruction tailored to each student’s needs and learning style; clarify concepts, demonstrate problem-solving steps, and assign/practice targeted exercises.
- Maintain punctual, professional sessions and collaborate with site scheduling staff — no administrative scheduling required of tutors.
- Work a flexible, part-time schedule (typically 3–12 hours/week), with availability between 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM on weekdays preferred.
Who We’re Looking For (Requirements)
- Earned bachelor’s degree (required).
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated expertise in the math topics and/or test-prep areas you will tutor.
- Ability to teach and adapt explanations to a diverse range of high-school learners.
- Comfortable quickly learning and using new technology and classroom apps.
- Teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or classroom experience is a plus but not required.
- Able to work in-person at the Cohasset, MA learning center during the hours described.
Classification & Schedule
- Classification: Employee (W2) — PART_TIME.
- Typical weekly hours: 3–12 hours.
- Session length: 60–90 minutes.
- Shift window: afternoons/evenings on weekdays (2:00 PM–8:00 PM); some daytime availability beneficial during summer.
