Role Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a motivated Entry Level Marketing Assistant to join their on-site marketing team in Plainfield, NJ. This entry-level role supports both marketing and sales efforts to generate leads, represent the brand in retail settings, and deliver excellent customer experiences. Local candidates who can start ASAP are preferred.
What You’ll Do
- Engage face-to-face with potential customers to explain promotions and product offerings
- Represent the brand during direct marketing and promotional events
- Provide excellent customer service to new and existing customers
- Serve as a point of contact for consumer relations and inquiries
- Help generate leads and convert them into sales
- Work closely with marketing and sales teams to support campaigns and reporting
Key Responsibilities
- Execute in-person retail marketing and direct outreach activities
- Educate consumers on current promotions and product benefits
- Capture and report lead information accurately
- Maintain a positive, professional brand presence in the field
- Support follow-up activities to nurture leads and improve conversion
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude, customer-focused, and able to work collaboratively on a team
- Comfortable with regular in-person interaction in retail environments
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated base salary: $42,222 per year (estimated)
- Guaranteed base salary plus uncapped performance pay

Location & Schedule
- This is a fully on-site position in Plainfield, NJ (local candidates preferred).
- Schedule may include daytime and weekend retail events depending on campaign needs.
