What You’ll Do
This is an entry-level Integration & Manufacturing Engineer role focused on applying engineering fundamentals to real aircraft and manufacturing environments for a confidential client. You will work with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to integrate new products and improve how they are built.
- Design and update procedures, detailed drawings, and schematics (parts, structural and electrical installations, wiring diagrams, interface control documents) for modifications and kit installations using CAD and technical data.
- Support integration of mechanical, electrical/avionics and software-enabled systems, including requirements interpretation, installation concepts, and basic engineering analyses.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure designs are practical, producible, and documented; help resolve build and installation issues on the shop floor.
- Assist with bench and system-level testing, component testing, aircraft ground/flight testing, data collection, and troubleshooting of installations and system features.
- Prepare technical documentation such as analysis reports and test plans to support approvals and certification activities.
- Research and respond to product support and field questions; incorporate approved changes via engineering change requests (ECRs) and drawing revisions.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of product integration and production objectives.
What You'll Need
- A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Computer/Software Engineering or a related technical field is required.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships, co-ops, research, or early-career roles count).
- Foundational knowledge of aircraft systems and/or manufacturing processes gained through coursework, labs, internships, or practical experience.
- Basic familiarity with CAD and engineering analysis tools (examples: NX, CATIA, Autodesk or similar).
- Exposure to analysis tools such as Excel, MATLAB, ALTAIR, NASTRAN, Python or similar for engineering calculations and data work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and a willingness to learn quickly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Experience with composite materials (design, analysis, testing, or manufacturing) from coursework, labs, research or hands-on roles.
- Exposure to aircraft or product integration activities (installation design, interface requirements, routing of systems, STC/completions work).
- Familiarity with data analytics or AI/ML tools applied to engineering or manufacturing (Python, MATLAB, R, etc.).
- Hands-on laboratory, prototype or production experience, including working with test data, manufacturing instructions, or quality documentation.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and manufacturing principles (Lean, Six Sigma, process capability).
Compensation & Schedule
- Estimated salary: $49,145 per year (estimated).
- Employment type: Full-time.
- Location: Tennessee, AR (on-site / manufacturing environment). Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. and able to commute to the Tennessee, AR site as required.
