What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level Loan Officer (ACES Lending Officer track) to join an inside sales team focused on consumer mortgage and HELOC products. This is an entry-level sales role with structured training to prepare you for the SAFE / NMLS exams and a path to a licensed lending officer position.
- Participate in a comprehensive training program that covers the full loan lifecycle and prepares you for NMLS licensing.
- Learn to present mortgage and HELOC products to prospective customers via phone and digital channels.
- Work with provided leads to qualify prospects, gather documentation, and move loans through origination stages.
- Collaborate with sales and training leadership to meet weekly and monthly performance goals.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM/loan-processing software and follow compliance guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Dedicate yourself to a structured training curriculum and licensing preparation.
- Convert inbound leads into qualified opportunities through phone-based sales.
- Explain basic financial concepts and mortgage options in clear, customer-friendly terms.
- Meet or exceed weekly/monthly sales and activity targets.
- Use loan origination and CRM tools to track customer interactions and pipeline stages.
- Maintain ethical, compliant interactions with customers and adhere to all licensing and disclosure requirements.
- Accept coaching and continuously improve sales and technical skills.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience with a proven record of meeting or exceeding goals (call center/inside sales strongly preferred).
- Ability to commute to Birmingham, AL full-time for on-site work.
- Ability and willingness to prepare for and pass the NMLS exam and meet state/national licensing requirements.
- Strong phone presentation skills and a customer-first mindset.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a collaborative attitude.
- Comfort using sales and loan-processing software; basic financial literacy.
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Training pay: base hourly rate of $15.00/hour during the ACES training program.
- Post-training compensation: transition to Licensed Lending Officer pay structure (hourly minimum plus per-origination and funding bonuses).
