What You’ll Do
As an Entry-Level Loads and Dynamics Engineer (Confidential Client), you will support loads and dynamics assessments for fixed-wing aircraft programs. You will work with cross-functional teams to create models, run analyses, and support test activities that influence aircraft design and airworthiness.
- Assist in developing air vehicle requirements and operational limits
- Create vehicle-level models for loads and dynamics analysis
- Perform loads and dynamics analyses (flight and ground simulations, flutter/divergence assessments, noise and vibration evaluations)
- Support development of flight and ground test requirements and test plans
- Provide pre-test analysis, real-time monitoring, post-processing of test data, and documentation of results
- Support airworthiness activities with internal customers and regulatory agencies via technical documentation and presentations
- Coordinate with teammates, internal suppliers, and external partners; occasional travel to test sites and vendor locations
Qualifications
Required (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent
- Coursework and/or experience in one or more of: Aerodynamics, Stability & Control, Structural Dynamics (vibration/shock), Aeroelasticity, or Finite Element Modeling (FEM)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work on technical teams and communicate results clearly
Preferred
- Proficiency with programming or scripting (Matlab, Python, C, or similar)
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA), vibration analysis, or multi-body dynamics (MBD)
- Prior experience in external loads analysis or flight/ground testing of air vehicles
Pay & Benefits
- Summary pay range: $71,400 - $96,600 per year (confidential client estimate)
