Compensation & Position Type

This is a 6-month contract-to-hire, direct W2 opportunity (no C2C/1099/agency submissions).
Pay rate: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour W2, tiered by experience:

  • $19.00 - $21.00 / hr — Entry-level (no direct legal experience)
  • $22.00 - $23.00 / hr — 1–3 years legal administrative experience
  • $24.00 - $25.00 / hr — 4+ years legal administrative experience

Position Overview

We are seeking an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to support a corporate legal department. This role is 100% onsite in Chester, NY and includes clerical, data-entry, invoicing, scheduling, and front-desk responsibilities. Strong Microsoft Office skills, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are essential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the corporate legal team.
  • Process department invoices using Basware; prepare travel and expense reports via Oracle.
  • Coordinate calendars, conference calls, travel and hotel arrangements.
  • Enter and maintain contract data in tracking systems with high accuracy.
  • Compile confidential documents and prepare departmental reports.
  • Perform basic numerical computations and tabulate data in Microsoft Excel.
  • Participate in front desk rotation to greet visitors and support reception duties.

Position Requirements & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (Legal Studies, Business Administration, etc.) is a plus.
  • Open to entry-level candidates through experienced (4+ years) legal administrative professionals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with ERP/financial systems (Oracle, Basware) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work flexible hours/overtime when required.
  • Must be able to work 100% onsite in Chester, NY.
