Position Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry‑Level Leak Survey Technician (Field Technician) based in Apex, NC. This hands‑on, on‑site role focuses on gas leak detection, field inspections, and using GIS tools to capture and report findings. No prior natural gas experience required — training provided.

- Pay: $21 per hour

What You’ll Do
Confidential Client’s field teams keep communities safe by detecting and reporting gas leaks, mapping findings, and producing clear daily reports.
- Detect and report gas leaks using industry best practices and provided equipment
- Learn and use GIS tools (e.g., Esri, FlowGIS) to map and visualize field data
- Support clients in the field; deliver professional, customer‑focused service
- Compile daily progress into clear, accurate written reports for stakeholders
- Travel locally and regionally as needed; perform physically active fieldwork
Who You Are (Qualifications & Traits)

- Comfortable working outdoors and performing hands‑on tasks
- Problem solver with a safety‑first mindset
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office); eagerness to learn GIS software like Esri

- Valid driver’s license required (company vehicle provided)
Preferred but not required:
- Experience in construction, HVAC, field locating, or leak surveys
- Education in Geography, GIS, or related fields
