What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an Entry Level Landscape Architect in Charlotte, NC to join a Site/Civil team working on public- and private-sector site development, capital improvement, water/wastewater, and roadway projects. This is an early-career role focused on design support and technical production with mentorship and structured professional development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform zoning code research, site feasibility and due diligence studies
  • Assist with rezoning and conditional use plan preparation
  • Prepare site construction drawings: site design, grading, storm drainage, erosion & sediment control, landscape plans, and details
  • Produce associated calculations and technical reports
  • Create presentation renders and hand/sketch drawings; apply digital visualization tools (Photoshop, SketchUp, Rhino/D5 optional)
  • Work on multidisciplinary design teams to develop construction-ready documents
  • Assist with code research, specifications, and permitting as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelors in Landscape Architecture (required)
  • 0–1 years professional experience; previous internship experience desirable
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (required)
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp, GIS/ArcView, and PowerPoint
  • Strong hand-drawing and graphic presentation skills; familiarity with digital rendering tools a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on teams
  • Security clearance or ability to obtain one may be advantageous (refer to the role title)

  • Estimated base salary: $56,084 per year (estimated)
