What You’ll Do

As an entry-level Java Spring Boot Developer / Data Scientist with our confidential client, you'll join a technical team focused on delivering production-ready services and learning practical, employer-facing skills. Typical responsibilities include:

• Build and maintain Java services using Spring Boot and related frameworks
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend endpoints
• Write and optimize SQL queries and work with relational databases
• Use Git for source control and participate in code reviews
• Solve algorithm and data-structure problems during technical screens and demonstrate your solutions clearly
• Contribute to small, hands-on enterprise-style projects and prepare for certification and interview scenarios
• Support basic data analysis or data-science tasks when needed (data cleaning, exploratory analysis, simple ML model evaluation)

What We’re Looking For

Minimum qualifications — we encourage recent graduates and candidates with non-traditional backgrounds to apply:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience
• Familiarity with Core Java and Spring Boot (coursework, bootcamp experience, or personal projects acceptable)
• Basic understanding of REST APIs, SQL, and version control with Git
• Exposure to cloud concepts (AWS, Azure or similar) is a plus
• Problem-solving ability (able to explain approaches to DSA questions)
• Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to present project work clearly

• Hands-on experience with Docker, microservices, or CI/CD pipelines
• Introductory experience with Python for data work or simple ML libraries (scikit-learn, pandas)

Compensation & Employment Details

• Employment type: Full-time
• Location: Irving, TX (onsite) — this posting is for the Irving location listed in the job data
• Salary range: $79,000 - $127,000 per year (provided by the confidential client)
• Benefits: Typical full-time benefits may include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and professional development support — final benefits are provided by the hiring organization.
