What You’ll Do
As an entry-level developer / data candidate placed with Confidential Client (or their clients), you may be expected to:
- Contribute to backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Work on data pipelines, analytics tasks, or machine learning proof‑of‑concepts using Python.
- Build or maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with databases (SQL/NoSQL).
- Write clear, maintainable code and unit tests; participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, QA, DevOps) to deliver features.
- Debug issues, triage incidents and contribute to production support as needed.
- Learn and adopt modern dev workflows (Git, CI/CD) and cloud basics.
Who we’re looking for (Qualifications)
Candidates do not need extensive industry experience; ideal profiles include:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics or a related field — OR demonstrable project experience.
- Familiarity with Java (core) and interest in Spring Boot or willingness to learn quickly.
- Basic experience with Python for scripting, data work, or ML tasks is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of SQL and working with relational databases.
- Comfortable using Git and participating in team-based development.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and a growth mindset.
- Willingness to learn on the job and participate in upskilling or mentoring programs.
Nice-to-have
- Experience or coursework in data analysis, Pandas, scikit‑learn, or basic ML.
- Exposure to REST API design, HTML/CSS/JavaScript for full‑stack roles.
