What You’ll Do

This entry-level Java/DevOps developer role is focused on building real-world engineering skills through hands-on projects, guided learning, and interview preparation. You will work on Java-based applications, build deployment workflows, and practice the tools and patterns that employers expect from early-career engineers.

• Develop and maintain Java services using OOP principles and common frameworks (Spring Boot).
• Build and consume REST APIs; write and optimize SQL queries for application data needs.
• Use Git for source control and follow collaborative workflows (branches, PRs, code review).
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Learn and apply basic DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and deployment automation.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and design discussions to improve system reliability and performance.
• Complete project-based assignments that serve as interview evidence and portfolio items.
• Prepare for technical interviews with practice on algorithms, data structures, and system design tradeoffs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Practical experience or coursework in Java or C++ (class projects, internships, bootcamps, or self-study).
• Familiarity with core programming concepts: OOP, collections, basic data structures, and algorithms.
• Basic SQL knowledge and comfort working with relational data.
• Experience using Git for source control.
• Willingness to learn Spring Boot, REST, testing frameworks, and CI/CD tooling.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (employer will confirm eligibility during hiring).

• Exposure to containers (Docker) and CI tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Compensation & Schedule

• Salary range: $82,000 - $136,000 per year (Confidential Client) — provided by the source posting.
• Employment type: Full-time.
