Overview

Confidential Client is hiring for an entry-level technical role focused on Java, DevOps practices, and data analysis. This is a remote-friendly opportunity (US-based) geared toward recent graduates, career switchers, and candidates rebuilding momentum after gaps or layoffs. The role combines hands-on learning with practical project work to accelerate your job-readiness and placement.

What You’ll Do

• Support development and maintenance of Java codebases and related applications.
• Assist with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and environment provisioning.
• Perform entry-level data analysis and reporting using SQL and common BI tools.
• Write and maintain scripts for build, test, and deployment tasks.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to triage issues and contribute to solutions.
• Participate in training, project-based learning, and resume/interview coaching provided by the program.
• Communicate progress and technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Who You Are / Minimum Qualifications

• Recent graduate (BS/MS) in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics or equivalent coursework — OR comparable self-taught/project experience.
• Basic exposure to Java or another object-oriented language.
• Familiarity with SQL and comfort working with data (queries, simple transforms).
• Comfortable using Linux/macOS command line and version control (Git).
• Strong willingness to learn, take direction, and apply feedback.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Hands-on or coursework experience with:
  • Docker and container basics
  • CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
  • Cloud fundamentals (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • Python for scripting or data work
  • Basic data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
• Internship or project experience building small web apps or data projects.
• Interest in DevOps practices, site reliability concepts, or data engineering.

Compensation & Location

• Estimated annual compensation (as listed): $101,395 per year — Confidential Client.
