Role overview
This is an entry-level Software Engineer role focused on Java and C++ development for a confidential client in the Information Technology & Services industry. You’ll join a technical team building and maintaining services and applications, learn on the job, and gain exposure to modern tools such as Spring Boot, microservices, Docker and CI/CD.
What You’ll Do
- Contribute to development tasks using Java and/or C++ on backend or systems codebases.
- Implement, test, and debug features under senior engineer guidance.
- Work with REST APIs and collaborate on microservices design patterns.
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and team stand-ups.
- Troubleshoot issues in development, staging, and production environments.
- Learn and apply CI/CD tools and containerization (Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes).
- Collaborate with data and ML teams when projects require integration with analytics pipelines.

- Familiarity with software development fundamentals: data structures, OOP, version control (Git).
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
- Eligible to work in the U.S. (no third-party/agency or C2C candidates).
Preferred / Helpful Skills
- Experience or coursework with Spring Boot, microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools.
- Basic knowledge of REST API design.
- Interest or exposure to data tools, Python, or machine learning workflows is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and collaborate in cross-functional teams.

Compensation
- Estimated annual pay (from source listing): $110,298 per year (estimated).
