Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an energetic Entry Level Interior Designer to join its Orlando, FL office. This entry-level role (0–1 year experience) supports interior design projects across Federal/local government, commercial, and corporate building types. You will work under the supervision of licensed designers to develop space plans, FF&E selections, documentation, and assist with construction administration.

• Estimated salary: $67,362 per year (estimated)
• Employment type: Full-time
• Location: Orlando, FL (on-site)

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate on single or multiple interior projects across all phases under supervision
• Assist with program documentation, visioning, and space planning concepts
• Help select and coordinate FF&E, finishes, color palettes, furniture systems and specifications
• Prepare and update drawings and specifications; support drawing coordination with consultants
• Participate in construction administration — review submittals, samples and support site coordination
• Communicate with project teams and help manage client expectations

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited university
• 0–1 year of relevant interior design experience (Architecture/Interior Design firm experience preferred)
• Ability to obtain state licensure and NCIDQ certification (or be NCIDQ-eligible)
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; Confidential Client will not sponsor work authorization for this role

Required Skills & Tools

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit (BIM)
• Experience with SketchUp or other 3D modeling tools
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite — Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
• Strong knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials and specifications (FF&E)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Portfolio demonstrating interior design work (required)

• Familiarity with sustainable design principles
• LEED AP credential or interest in pursuing LEED AP / Green Globes
