What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an Entry-level Interior Designer to join their studio in Chickamauga, TN. This hands-on role is designed for a recent graduate or emerging designer who wants to develop practical skills across commercial interior design projects while collaborating with architects and senior designers.

• Assist with drawings and documentation across project phases (schematic through construction documents).
• Prepare and update floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and other interior/architectural documents.
• Create clear 2D and 3D presentation materials to communicate design intent.
• Support space planning, programming, finish selections, and FF&E (furniture, fixtures & equipment).
• Research materials, products, manufacturers and organize findings for the project team.
• Participate in design charrettes, client meetings, and vendor presentations.
• Conduct field surveys, assist with site visits, punchlists, submittals, and shop drawing reviews as requested.
• Collaborate with team members to solve technical and design challenges while meeting project standards and deadlines.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design (or closely related field) from an accredited program.
• 0+ years professional experience — recent graduates encouraged to apply.
• Foundation in drafting, space planning, design principles, materials, FF&E, and construction documentation.
• Revit experience preferred; working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office required.
• Familiarity with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and/or Enscape is a plus.
• Basic understanding of building codes, life-safety, ADA requirements, construction methods, and sustainable design principles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

Position Details

• Employment type: Full-time, in-office.
• Location: Chickamauga, TN (onsite).
• Start: As soon as available.
• Salary: $45,000–$55,000 per year (depending on experience and licensure).
• Reporting: This role reports to the Interior Design Studio Leader and senior studio leadership.
