What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an Entry-Level Interior Designer to contribute across all phases of design work on high-design projects. You will work under the guidance of experienced designers and architects and gain hands-on experience in technical documentation and creative concept development.

  • Participate in programming, conceptual design and development, and space planning
  • Create plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), details and finish plans with a partnered senior designer
  • Develop finish and furniture concepts and prepare furniture specifications
  • Support integrated project teams on higher education and healthcare projects
  • Produce presentation materials and assist with client-facing deliverables
  • Learn and apply technical standards and office production processes through mentorship
  • Manage time effectively to meet project schedules and review cycles

Who You Are

You are creative, collaborative, and eager to build your design skills. You value mentorship and want to grow within integrated project teams. You show strong conceptual thinking, attention to detail, and clear communication. Interest in higher education and healthcare interiors is a plus.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture (CIDA-accredited program preferred)
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience (internship or designer experience preferred)
  • Ability to use Revit in a professional environment preferred
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign; familiarity with rendering software
  • Comfortable with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • LEED or WELL accreditation is a plus
  • Strong organizational, time-management and communication skills

Employment Type & Location

  • Employment type: Full-time or Contractor (role may be offered as either, depending on the opening)
  • Authoritative location: Boston, MA (Confidential Client is also considering hybrid candidates at any of their studio locations and 100% remote candidates)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated base (from source): $69,432 per year — estimated
