Position Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level Insurance Sales Representative for a full-time, commission-driven role in Bayside, NY. This role is ideal for competitive, goal-oriented people who want hands-on sales training, licensing support, and a clear path to high earnings. No prior insurance sales experience is required — we provide training and sponsorship for New York State Personal Lines licensing where needed.
What You’ll Do
You will be part of a local sales team generating new business and delivering excellent client service.
- Prospect and generate new business using supplied leads and referrals
- Conduct policy reviews and needs assessments to ensure appropriate coverage
- Prepare and present personalized insurance quotes and coverage options
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Provide timely, professional client support and follow-up
Compensation & Earnings
Compensation is heavily performance-based with strong upside for productive sellers.
- Estimated market salary (Adzuna estimate): $113,395 per year (market estimate)
- Typical first-year earnings: $75,000–$85,000; top agents can earn $150,000+
- Monthly commissions (new agents): $1,500–$2,000; top agents: $4,000–$4,500+
- Monthly bonus program up to $3,000: new agents commonly earn ~$1,500; top agents earn ~$3,000
- Typical total monthly commission + bonus for new agents: $3,500–$4,000; top agents: $6,500–$7,000+
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred (not required)
- Experience in sales, customer service, or professional phone-based roles preferred
- Confident self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
- Employment contingent on passing NYS pre-licensing and licensing requirements; selected candidates may receive sponsorship to obtain the NYS Personal Lines license
