Position Overview

This early-career Industrial Engineer role with a confidential client supports after‑market parts distribution and warehouse operations. You will apply data analysis, Lean principles, and process-improvement methods to optimize material planning, inventory flow, slotting, and fulfillment processes. This position is part-time and requires working onsite in Fairburn, GA.


What You’ll Do

  • Analyze Service Parts Planning (e.g., Servigistics) to identify planning and forecasting improvements.
  • Map and analyze warehouse workflows to find productivity, quality, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and work measurement techniques.
  • Evaluate warehouse layouts, slotting strategies, storage, and material handling systems to improve throughput and space utilization.
  • Support implementation and enhancements of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related operational technologies.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs (Power BI, Excel or similar) to monitor efficiency, inventory accuracy, and service levels.
  • Partner with operations, supply chain, logistics, inventory management, IT, and sales stakeholders to implement scalable solutions.
  • Help plan staffing, peak readiness, and long-term capacity.
  • Ensure solutions meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience (entry level).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.).
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and Service Parts Management software.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, work measurement, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience or exposure to WMS, SPM, ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and project‑management skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Summary pay range (provided by the client): $77,264 — $115,896 per year.
  • Benefits (subject to plan eligibility): medical, dental, vision; PTO; 401(k); HSA/FSA; employee assistance; voluntary benefits; tuition reimbursement; parental and adoption leave; disability and life insurance; incentive bonus.
  • Note: Compensation and benefits may vary based on experience, level, and other individualized factors.
