Position overview
Confidential Client is seeking an early-career Electrical or Computer Engineer to join a mission-focused team supporting propulsion plant instrumentation & control (I&C) systems. This full-time role is based in West Mifflin, PA and focuses on development, testing, troubleshooting, and fleet support for naval nuclear propulsion training and operational platforms.
What You’ll Do
- Build on Electrical/Computer engineering fundamentals and develop systems engineering and troubleshooting expertise.
- Support development, integration, testing, and validation of embedded control and instrumentation systems used in naval propulsion plants.
- Learn design intent and operational requirements for nuclear propulsion plant I&C systems to ensure safe, reliable operation.
- Provide emergent technical support and on-site assessments working directly with fleet personnel.
- Contribute to training programs and technical documentation used to train sailors and operators.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve hardware/software issues and improve system reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical/engineering/science discipline from an accredited college or university; or a Master’s degree in a related field.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Willingness and ability to undergo a Federal background investigation and meet eligibility for access to classified matter.
- Ability to pass a company-required drug test (note: marijuana is tested for and is illegal under Federal law).
- Strong teamwork skills and demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders across technical disciplines.
Preferred / Helpful Experience
- GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Academic project, internship, or co-op experience in systems engineering, embedded hardware, firmware/software development, or test engineering.
- Hands-on experience or coursework in digital/analog electronics, embedded systems, control systems, or instrumentation.
- Prior exposure to systems integration, test procedures, or formal troubleshooting processes.

- Base salary range: $63,900 - $97,800 per year (range provided by the employer; exact pay depends on experience and qualifications).
