What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Systems Engineer to support a hypersonics production program in Huntsville, AL. You will work with senior systems engineers to help transition hypersonic systems from development into production by creating test specifications, managing requirements, and validating that requirements are verified through test and manufacturing.

• Develop and maintain test specifications for production verification
• Manage requirements databases and track verification status
• Support requirements derivation for integration, manufacturing, and production
• Collaborate with Hardware Development, Integration, Manufacturing, and Test teams
• Help verify requirements through test and manufacturing activities
• Support MBSE artifacts and traceability between models, requirements, and tests
• Assist in estimating engineering effort for Systems Engineering tasks

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (ABET-accredited) in Systems, Software, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience — OR a relevant MS
• Demonstrated ability to learn from peers and mentors
• Resident of North Alabama or willing to relocate to the Huntsville / North Alabama area
• Possess a Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience deriving requirements for integration, manufacturing, and production systems
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and procedures
• Experience with MagicDraw or other MBSE tools
• Experience with DOORS or other requirements database tools
• Demonstrated cross-discipline collaboration and team leadership experience
• Ability to estimate Systems Engineering effort (hours) accurately
• Understanding of DoD acquisition processes and experience supporting DoD programs
• INCOSE SEP (ASEP/CSEP) or OMG Certified System Modeler (OCSMP) certifications are a plus

Location & Clearance

This position is based in Huntsville, AL. Candidates must be local to or willing to relocate to the Huntsville / North Alabama area. A Secret clearance is required or the ability to obtain one.

Compensation

Pay Range: $69,550 - $125,725 per year (range provided by Confidential Client; final offer will consider experience, education, and other factors).
