Overview This entry-level role is designed for candidates launching a career in healthcare sales and business development, with a focus on hospice services. The Associate Healthcare Care Consultant (Associate HCC) will receive structured coaching, mentorship, and field training to learn consultative selling, referral development, and territory planning while representing Confidential Client’s mission and patient-centered approach.
Essential Functions

Relationship Development & Sales Support
- Learn and apply consultative selling through field training and coaching.
- Support development and maintenance of professional referral relationships with physicians, discharge planners, social workers, senior living communities, skilled nursing facilities, and other healthcare partners.
- Accompany senior sales representatives on customer visits to learn account management and referral development techniques.
- Assist in follow-up activities to ensure responsiveness and strong customer service.

Community Outreach & Education
- Participate in community presentations, health fairs, networking events, and educational programs to raise awareness of hospice services.
- Help educate referral sources, patients, families, and community partners on the organization’s value proposition.
- Represent Confidential Client professionally at community and business events.

Market Development & Planning
- Assist in executing territory and account development plans under sales leadership guidance.
- Support daily relationship-building activities that contribute to referral and admission growth objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and market intelligence in company systems.

Collaboration & Teamwork
- Build productive working relationships with clinical, operational, and admissions teams to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Participate in team meetings, training programs, and regular territory reviews.
- Demonstrate eagerness to learn and actively seek coaching and feedback.

- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Complete required training and maintain professionalism and accountability in all interactions.

About You

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred
- Internship or experience in customer service, recruiting, hospitality, retail sales, healthcare, or business development.
- Exposure to senior care, hospice, home health, or related industries.
- Leadership experience through work, athletics, student organizations, or volunteer activities.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to learn consultative sales techniques and apply coaching feedback.
- Self-motivated with a desire to build a career in healthcare sales and business development.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and business technology tools.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel within assigned territory.
