What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking hands-on, motivated entry-level technicians to support the activation and deployment of medical devices and technology systems in a new patient care tower. This is a practical, field-focused role where you will work with technology, hardware, and clinical teams to receive, prepare, install, and track equipment.
- Support deployment and activation of hundreds of medical devices and technology assets throughout a newly constructed patient care tower.
- Receive, unpack, inventory, tag, label, and track incoming equipment and technology assets.
- Assist with equipment installations, hardware deployments, and technology setup activities.
- Assemble, disassemble, and perform basic troubleshooting on medical and technology equipment.
- Perform equipment inspections, testing, and quality checks before clinical use.
- Use Microsoft Excel and internal tracking systems to document installations, inventory, and project activity.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment status, repairs, deployments, and project milestones.
- Coordinate with Clinical Engineering, Facilities, Technology, and Project teams to meet activation schedules.
- Support equipment moves, upgrades, and replacements during the project lifecycle.
- Provide professional customer service when interacting with clinical staff and stakeholders.
- Follow safety procedures while working in both active construction and healthcare environments.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Strong interest in technology and a desire to build a long-term career in healthcare technology.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Good verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Solid problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.
- Able to work independently and in a team-based environment.
Ideal Backgrounds
Successful candidates often come from technical, hands-on backgrounds such as:
- Early-career IT, Desktop Support, Help Desk, or Field Service roles.
- Technical/trade school, community college, or university technical programs.
- Experience building PCs, repairing electronics, or hobbyist hardware work.
- AV, telecommunications, low-voltage, manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, automotive, or military technical experience.
- Candidates who enjoy working with tools, hardware, and technology rather than desk-based ticketing only.

Job Type & Location
- Contract to Hire — fully onsite in Hamden, CT (Hamden, CT, US).

Pay & Benefits
- Pay range: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour. Actual pay offered will depend on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors.

Onboarding & Training
- No prior biomedical equipment experience required. The team will train motivated candidates who demonstrate technical aptitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
- You will receive hands-on coaching from Clinical Engineering and project teams and gain exposure to healthcare technology, asset management, and large-scale device deployments.
