What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level geotechnical engineer to support field investigations, construction observation, and report preparation on land development and infrastructure projects. This role emphasizes hands-on field work and technical reporting.
- Assist with planning and executing field investigations: logging borings and test pits, collecting samples, performing field tests, and recording data
- Observe foundation and earthwork construction and verify conformance with project documents
- Identify and implement practical solutions for routine and complex field or laboratory issues
- Prepare drilling and test pit logs, field investigation dailies, chain-of-custody forms, and standard field reports
- Conduct file reviews, site reconnaissance, and document searches to support project scopes
- Accurately document site conditions and communicate issues to supervisors and project teams
- Support preparation of geotechnical engineering reports and technical deliverables as directed
What We’re Looking For
Candidates should demonstrate strong technical fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in the field and on project teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required; Master’s in Geotechnical Engineering preferred
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (entry-level)
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
- EIT certification or current registration for the FE exam preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities
- Comfortable spending the majority of work hours in the field
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams
- Reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits; valid driver’s license in good standing
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $68,250 - $93,000 USD (listed range)
