This is an early-career role with hands-on exposure across frontend, backend, and infrastructure. The position is full-time.

What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is looking for a motivated developer who will participate in the full software lifecycle — design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support.

  • Design, build, test, and ship full‑stack features spanning user interfaces, backend services, and data layers.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into technical plans and incremental deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain scalable REST/GraphQL APIs and service integrations.
  • Implement frontend components with attention to usability, responsiveness, and accessibility.
  • Containerize services and deploy to Kubernetes using Docker and Helm; run routine upgrades and maintenance.
  • Write automated tests, perform code reviews, and follow CI/CD practices to maintain quality.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues; participate in incident response as needed.
  • Improve developer workflows and system observability (logging, metrics, tracing).
  • Document architectural decisions, runbooks, and operational procedures.
  • Follow secure development practices and contribute to risk reduction efforts.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering production software across frontend and backend domains.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern backend language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C#, Node.js) and one modern frontend stack (JavaScript/TypeScript with React, Vue, or Angular).
  • Experience designing and consuming APIs (REST and/or GraphQL) and working with databases and data models.
  • Experience with messaging and queuing platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Experience creating and maintaining Docker containers, Helm charts, and Kubernetes-based deployments; familiarity with one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Working knowledge of software engineering fundamentals: version control, automated testing, debugging, performance tuning, and secure coding.
  • Effective collaborator comfortable with code reviews and iterative delivery.
  • Ability to break down ambiguous problems and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience with event-driven architectures, caching, and distributed system patterns.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD best practices.
  • Experience with observability tools (APM, structured logging, metrics, tracing).
  • Exposure to accessibility standards (WCAG) and frontend performance optimization.
  • Prior work in regulated or security‑sensitive environments.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $65,000 - $116,000 per year.
  • 15% employer 401(k) contribution.
  • 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision premiums for employees and dependents (or option to increase salary instead).
  • 100% company-paid disability and life insurance.
  • 30 days PTO/holidays, generous training budget, parental leave, and performance/growth incentives.
  • Supportive learning environment and opportunities to grow full‑stack and cloud-native skills.
