About the Role

Confidential Client is hiring an Entry-Level Foundry Process Engineer to support foundry operations, pattern rigging design, solidification simulation, and continuous process improvements. This role is based in Lebanon, PA and reports to engineering/operations leadership. The role is suitable for recent graduates or early-career engineers with hands-on manufacturing experience in metals or casting environments.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide technical review, control, and documentation of process parameters that affect product quality
  • Design pattern rigging and create detailed shop travelers for casting patterns
  • Evaluate and update manufacturing systems, work instructions, and documentation
  • Implement and use the Quality Management System to ensure compliance and traceability
  • Assist in defect analysis, root-cause investigation, and corrective actions
  • Develop 3D solid models and perform solidification simulations
  • Construct or modify product routings and support quoting for raw castings and related services
  • Collaborate with other facilities to resolve casting-related issues and implement corrective actions
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency
  • Advise production operations and support purchasing or evaluation of new manufacturing technology
  • Adhere to environmental, health, and safety requirements

Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in Materials, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred (Bachelor’s preferred but not required)
  • 0–5 years manufacturing experience preferred; exposure to metals manufacturing, casting/upgrade processes, or machining is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret casting blueprints and translate them into pattern rigging and mold designs
  • Understanding of shrink factors, feeding moduli, and foundry design principles
  • Experience or familiarity with SolidWorks (or similar CAD), laser scanning, and solidification simulation tools is beneficial
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement corrective actions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with employees at all levels
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Compensation & Location

  • Location: Lebanon, PA (on-site / plant-based role)
  • Salary: $70,000 – $95,000 per year (as provided by the source posting)
  • Employment type: Full-time (unless otherwise discussed with hiring team)
