Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level Fire Sprinkler Sales Representative to join their growing fire protection and life safety team in North Carolina. This is an entry-level, full-time technical sales role with comprehensive training, out-of-state development opportunities, and a clear career path into fire protection sales and leadership.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain relationships with building owners, contractors, engineers, architects, and facility managers.
  • Identify and qualify project opportunities across commercial, industrial, institutional, healthcare, and multifamily markets.
  • Conduct customer visits, jobsite surveys, and project walk-throughs.
  • Learn to estimate, quote, and propose fire sprinkler systems for new and existing facilities.
  • Assist with project takeoffs, material lists, bid preparation, and sales presentations.
  • Support senior sales teammates in executing sales strategies and closing opportunities.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently update opportunity tracking.
  • Follow company estimating, proposal, and sales procedures to ensure contract accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Operations and District leadership to support successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Learn and apply NFPA standards, local building codes, and industry best practices.
  • Attend required out-of-state training programs and ongoing professional development.

What We’re Looking For (Required Qualifications)

  • Associate degree in Architectural Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for out-of-state training and professional development.
  • Strong desire to build a long-term career in technical sales and business development.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business software.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
  • Internship, co-op, or work experience in construction, engineering, building systems, or fire protection.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or construction-related software.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, construction processes, or building design.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, sales, athletics, student leadership, or other activities demonstrating initiative and teamwork.
