Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Entry-Level Financial Advisor in Des Moines, IA. This is a full-time, client-facing role for a motivated early-career professional who wants to build client relationships and develop core financial planning skills including retirement planning, risk management, investment basics, and insurance solutions.


What You’ll Do

  • Engage with individuals and families to understand financial goals and priorities.
  • Create and present tailored financial plans addressing retirement, investments, insurance, debt management, and estate considerations.
  • Educate clients about product options and financial strategies to improve financial literacy.
  • Build and maintain trust-based client relationships through regular follow-up and service.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to refine strategies and deliver consistent client experiences.
  • Monitor client accounts and adjust plans as client needs or market conditions change.
  • Participate in ongoing training and licensing preparation (FINRA, state insurance) and stay current on industry and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related analytical field required.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; comfortable explaining complex concepts plainly.
  • Solid numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Customer service or sales experience is a plus but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and manage multiple client accounts.
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and pursue required industry licensing.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • FINRA Series 7 and Series 63/66 credentials (or working toward them).
  • Experience with CRM systems, financial planning software, Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace.
  • Prior exposure to financial products (mutual funds, retirement accounts, insurance products).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base compensation: $65,000+ (published). Estimated market figure shown on source: $81,380/year (estimate).
  • Confidential Client offers benefits for full-time employees, typically including medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, and group life insurance — subject to plan terms and eligibility.
