About the Role
This entry-level Finance Controllership Rotational Program is a hybrid, full-time opportunity based in Warren, MI. The rotational program develops early-career finance and accounting professionals through 12-month rotations across controllership, audit, and tax functions. You will support financial reporting, analyze transactions, partner with business stakeholders, and complete a capstone project that demonstrates advanced analytical and presentation skills.

- Location: Warren, MI (hybrid — on-site in Warren/Detroit area multiple days per week)
What You’ll Do
- Complete structured rotations within the Controllership/Accounting organization, rotating roughly every 12 months
- Consolidate and report company results and analyze transactions for appropriate accounting treatment
- Assemble data, perform analyses, and present findings and recommendations to senior leaders
- Lead at least one substantive project requiring data gathering, sophisticated analysis, and executive-level presentation
- Serve as a strategic business partner to improve transparency, efficiency, and financial integrity
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2027, OR if pursuing CPA, completion of degree + required CPA coursework (150 hours) in that timeframe
- Available to start full time in June 2027
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (our client does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role)
Preferred Qualifications (Competitive Edge)
- Actively pursuing CPA credentials is preferred
- Demonstrated leadership in academics, extracurriculars, or service organizations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Functional & Technical Skills
- Strong Excel skills, financial modeling, and valuation fundamentals
- Knowledge of corporate finance principles — ability to analyze balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, and capital structure
- Familiarity with basic or advanced accounting principles depending on rotation
- Problem solving, decision quality, and innovative thinking
Teamwork & Leadership
- Ability to collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams
- Comfort working with large datasets, identifying root causes, and developing analytical solutions
- High integrity, accountability, and the ability to take initiative in ambiguous situations
- Strong prioritization and time-management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Work Arrangement & Relocation
- Hybrid role — expected to report to Warren or Detroit, MI at least three times per week
