Position Overview
Confidential Client (Transportation) is hiring an Entry-Level Field Engineer to join a tunneling/underground construction project near Newburgh Heights, OH. This full-time, on-site position supports project engineering staff on day-to-day field operations — including temporary works design support, AutoCAD drafting, survey coordination, reporting, subcontractor coordination, scheduling support, submittals, and materials procurement.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze collected production and site data to monitor performance and recommend adjustments
- Plan and develop daily/weekly work plans for project-related operations
- Coordinate operational survey needs with the survey team
- Provide daily field support and coordinate with craft supervision and site leadership
- Assist with engineering temporary works and AutoCAD drafting as directed
- Support procurement of temporary or permanent materials and manage related documentation
- Help prepare daily and weekly reports; assemble and maintain accurate job records
- Assist with environmental monitoring and ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures
- Support project changes, submittals, scheduling activities, and subcontractor coordination
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Management considered)
- Strong proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word); AutoCAD experience preferred
- Experience with Primavera P6 is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret contract drawings accurately
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills
- Previous internship or construction site experience is a plus
- Valid driver’s license required

Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated pay: $56,618 per year (estimated)
