Position Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level Field Engineer to support underground and deep foundations projects based out of Jupiter, FL. This role combines on-site field engineering, office engineering support, and estimating exposure. Ideal candidates are recent graduates in civil, geotechnical, mechanical, mining engineering or construction management who want hands-on experience in underground/foundations construction and a career that may include travel and relocation.
District Overview
Confidential Client self-performs complex geotechnical, tunneling, and foundation projects across North America. Teams deliver constructible, cost-efficient solutions using specialty equipment and experienced project resources. Entry Level Engineers will rotate between field support, office engineering, and estimating tasks to develop well‑rounded construction engineering skills.
What You’ll Do
Field Engineering
- Assist with interpretation of drawings, specifications, and field layout for craft crews
- Perform quantity calculations and percent-complete measurements
- Support field surveying, elevation/control points, and as-built data compilation
- Help prepare work plans, work packages, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, and safety training
- Order and schedule material deliveries; coordinate and plan field work groups
- Provide field support and supervise subcontractor work as assigned
Office Engineering
- Perform material takeoffs from contract documents and drawings
- Perform basic engineering calculations and drafting to support field operations
- Prepare transmittals/submittals and maintain project recordkeeping (daily reports, photos, RFIs)
- Enter data into job cost systems and support cost reporting reviews
- Assist with purchase orders, small solicitations, and subcontract paperwork
Estimating
- Assist with quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for bid preparation
- Review plans/specifications, identify risk areas, and support senior estimators
- Analyze historical production and cost data to inform bids
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Mechanical, Mining Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Preferred: previous construction or mining experience (internship, co-op, or site work)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel and relocate across the U.S. as project needs require
- Strong work ethic, critical thinking, and ability to work independently and in teams
Other Requirements & Expectations
- Regular, reliable attendance and timely completion of assigned work
- Ability to follow safety policies, oral and written instructions, and use required PPE
- May be required to work overtime and weekends as project schedules demand

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Compensation: $82,000/yr - $88,000/yr (actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and location)
