About the Role
Confidential Client is seeking motivated Entry Level Field Engineers to join their Field Operations team supporting underground and foundations projects across North America. This is a full-time, entry-level opportunity ideal for recent graduates or early-career engineers who want hands-on experience in both field and office engineering, estimating, and project support.
What You’ll Do
Field Engineering
- Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
- Perform quantity measurements and calculate percent complete for installed materials
- Support preparation of work plans, work packages, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- Assist with field surveying, layout (elevation and control points), and as-built data compilation
- Help process daily labor timesheets and maintain project records
- Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox talks, and safety training
- Order and schedule material deliveries and help coordinate on-site work groups
- Provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations as needed
Office Engineering
- Perform material takeoffs from drawings and contract documents
- Conduct basic engineering calculations and technical drafting to support field operations
- Prepare data for submittals, transmittals, and communications with vendors, subcontractors, and agencies
- Assist with purchase orders, minor solicitations, and subcontract preparation
- Maintain project recordkeeping: daily reports, photos, RFIs, memoranda, and job cost entries
- Support generation of change orders and as-built documentation for manager review
Estimating
- Assist in historical-data review and incorporate production/cost assumptions into bid prep
- Complete plan/specification reviews and raise risk areas for senior estimators
- Perform material and quantity takeoffs in support of bid development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mining, Mechanical, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Previous construction or mining experience preferred but not required
- Able and willing to work both in the field and in the office
- Comfortable with travel and potential relocation during your career; projects occur across North America
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong work ethic and willingness to do what it takes to complete the job safely and on time
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Critical thinking and basic planning skills

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $82,000 – $88,000 per year (actual pay varies by experience, education, skillset, and location)

Location & Travel
- Primary job location: Daytona Beach, FL (32114), with projects across the U.S. and Canada
