What You’ll Do

This entry-level Equipment Engineer role supports test-equipment reliability and readiness at a confidential client site in Heath, OH. You will apply engineering fundamentals to test, troubleshoot, evaluate, and document electrical and electronic test equipment, components, and circuit cards while working with maintenance teams and senior engineers.

  • Test, troubleshoot, and diagnose site test equipment to identify faults and restore reliable operation
  • Assist maintenance teams in evaluating failed electronic components and circuit cards
  • Analyze test results and equipment failures; develop practical corrective-action recommendations
  • Support implementation of approved corrective actions in coordination with maintenance personnel and under senior-engineer guidance
  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation: test procedures, troubleshooting steps, results, and recommended practices
  • Recommend spare parts and replacement equipment based on observed failures and operational needs
  • Document issues, corrective actions, and follow-up outcomes for traceability
  • Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and site stakeholders to maintain test-equipment readiness
  • Follow applicable safety, quality, configuration-control, and documentation processes

Qualifications

Required (Minimum)

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a closely related degree (or non‑US equivalent)
  • Ability to evaluate electronic components, circuit cards, and test equipment
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to prepare clear technical procedures and documentation
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Team-oriented approach; able to work with maintenance personnel and engineering teams
  • Ability to obtain required U.S. security clearances (see Additional Details)

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Practical mechanical engineering knowledge or familiarity with mechanical systems
  • Experience with test-equipment maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with electronic test methods, diagnostic tools, and circuit-level analysis
  • Experience developing maintenance documentation or spare‑parts recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to work under senior-engineer supervision while exercising sound engineering judgment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Summary pay range: $71,400 - $96,600 per year (salary based on experience and qualifications)
  • Typical total-rewards elements may include health insurance, retirement savings plans, flexible spending/HSA options, life & disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time away (actual programs vary by eligibility and location)
  • No relocation assistance for this position
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
