What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hosting an invitation hiring event in Philadelphia on October 7–8, 2026 to meet candidates for early-career Environmental Scientist roles starting Spring/Summer 2027. The event includes a networking mixer (Wednesday evening) and on-site interviews (Thursday).

As an Entry‑Level Environmental Scientist you will support ecological and environmental field projects under supervision. Typical responsibilities include:

• Assisting lead ecologists/wetland scientists with stream, wetland, wildlife habitat and other ecological surveys
• Collecting and processing field data using tablets, GPS units and standard data forms
• Supporting preparation of environmental assessment reports and permit application documents
• Coordinating with regulatory agencies on survey protocols and reporting standards
• Reviewing desktop resources to contribute to environmental impact assessments
• Performing data analysis and using office software for data management and calculations
• Adhering to project schedules and budgets while working under supervision
• Traveling locally (and occasionally longer trips) to project sites as required

Qualifications

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Studies, Biology, or related field
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records review

Preferred qualifications

• General knowledge of environmental science and ecological field methods
• Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., MS Office) and familiarity with field data tools (GPS/tablets)
• OSHA 40‑Hour HAZWOPER certification (preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and professional demeanor with clients and regulators
• Able to work independently in both office and field settings and tolerate variable outdoor conditions
• Willingness to travel locally and occasionally for extended periods

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: USD 55,000 – USD 75,000 per year
